My epic ordering splurge is coming to an end with just 3 left to arrive!!
The last bona-fide classic masterpiece directed by American luminary Paul Schrader, arriving in a little over 12 hours from when i type now
12 Shaw Brothers movies, next in this genre will be 88 Films' Asian collection, it's hilariously entertaining to see movies with non stop meticulously choreographed fighting.
and the last of the 70's Fukusaku's released from Arrow, he's so far my most watched director this year
4 months of paying off the debt
June July August September
In October i can get more, including some classics by Kurosawa from Criterion and many more, but until then i must be pleased and enjoy to the hilt what was gotten recently, and the larger thing of all the other Asian films like from Kore-eda, Kitano, Wong Kar Wai, the 2 Lino Brocka films from Philippines. And then larger still in temporal scope the subtitled movies, Blu-ray and DVD.
My collection, which a few months ago i thought was dead is alive and well, infinite thanks to the continent of ASIA, and the good folks at American and British physical media distributors who sell the goods. If you are a collector, i say collect on, never before has there been as many good stuff to get as now. It will not last for too much longer, get em while you can.

If you are a collector... wasn't there fun in the hunt before? Where now you just order :)
SW-User
@SW-User There's still a hunt, and a much better selection.
SW-User
@SW-User But be careful and be cautious... the maggoty of all of us can only afford so much :)
SW-User
@SW-User Ain't that the truth!! If a movie is less that $20 CAD that's a deal for me.
SW-User
@SW-User I'm sure you also know and I don't know if your local library offers this, but my local library is connected to a service called Kanopy. You can watch up to eight movies a month free.
SW-User
@SW-User Heard about that, i've only been to my local library twice in 22 years, both were when i didn't have internet connection at home. It's a small town, and a humble service they provide.
SW-User
@SW-User Don't know if they will provide.. and I have a feeling about you, some collectors (emphasis on collectors) also want to own..... and free streaming services, that benefit many, may not be your thing (I'm looking at ways of making it affordable, and what I have found the collection is decent)
SW-User
@SW-User Your right, if i had a smart tv, i'd like streaming, but i can only see things on the good tv from a disc as it is, getting a new tv and all that would mean would be like the equivalent of buying a house for other people, i rather pour all my available income into the movies themselves.
SW-User
@SW-User You have a computer though, right? Or, do you talk on here only via phone?
SW-User
@SW-User I can't use computer things on the good tv. To watch a movie on the computer isn't the way for me.
SW-User
@SW-User And your old tv doesn't allow screen sharing?
SW-User
@SW-User I don't even know what screen sharing is. The good tv plays Blu-rays and DVD's, the crappy tv plays only DVD without the full image in a location where i can smoke. Nothing is connected online except my chromebook.
SW-User
@SW-User Ah, okay... the good book tv player won't work, and i understand not wanting to watch on a computer screen (I do), but it's a 24" screen connected to good quality audio equipment. When I mostly watch drama, works for me.
