Does anyone have any good slow paced science fiction movies or Tv show suggestions?

I like movies that focus more on dialogue rather than a lot of action.

@DiStefano
A really good list there.
Forbidden Planet, monsters from the ID. A classic, and the daughter wears some great outfits. The scene where The thing appears in the forcefield near the end is a treat to see on the big screen.
Space Cadet, there is a woman who wears a sexy black dress in it

@Robynthebeautiful Thank you. I need to find out some more, especially after 1960. I forgot about the movie The Thing though.
@DiStefano
There is a film based on Quartermass and the pit called 5 million years to Earth and its worthy in your great list.
John Carpenter's The Thing, yes add to list.
The original The Thing, Yes, add that too.
The Day the Earth Stood Still 1951, another great classic.
