I haven't watched any of them, not my kind of movie really.

I think the reason why they made this new one because many people were not happy with the 2016 one so they made this one and people are happy with it

@bijouxbroussard I haven't see the new one?🤔

@Peaches I have its better than the 2016 one 🙂

@JohnOinger I'll have to look in to it then. 🙂

Its been awhile, but wasn't the plot of the first movie about a cult that had built something in the building to ring some 'big and bad' back from the afterlife. And all the Ghostbusters did was close the door on its face.

The plot line of the second could be described as the aftermath of the first.

(I'm not even going to mention the ladies version)

So I guess there was enough open plot to make a third.

reboots are hit or miss... cant blame anyone for trying

There is film made by film-makers and artists who at their best make people feel, laugh, cry, think, wonder or at least be entertained.
Then there are the business people. They make business decisions. Like... it's easier to sell a brand than something new. Money from film, merchandise. There is no reason beyond this.

kaching,kachhing ...moola money cash
They like ruining classics. There's this new Tomb Raider but I don't think I'll ever watch it. It just doesn't make sense without Angelina Jolie. It's like Matrix without Keanu Reeves. Or Terminator without Arnold.

{@bijouxbroussard] basically it is a money spinner . but it gets to the stage where it loses something the more sequels you make
Peaches · F
Probably because it's such an interesting subject.
