@4meAndyou my father was stationed in Papua New Guinea for a short time in WWII, he went out in free time and talked to some natives there. He asked them if they had ever eaten human meat. One of them replied “I did before the missionaries came and I became a Christian but we don’t do that now” and then my father asked him what it tasted Iike and he said “just like roast pig”. 😕 Put him off of pork.

@cherokeepatti My paternal grandfather's ship was stationed near there in WWII. He served at the same time as both of his sons! He brought back fake shrunken heads and grass skirts, and coconut shells made to look like heads...and a big spear!
