Has anyone watched, or is watching, Foundation on Apple TV? If so, have you read the original stories? What do you think of the series?

@Longpatrol I'm reading the books again. Seriously, the only thing the TV series keeps is the title. None of it make any real sense.
I read the books so I'm curious about how they are doing the show which I havent seen yet. But def interested for my next binge. lol

@canusernamebemyusername I'm watching it now. Doesn't seem to follow the books very much at all. I'm interested in what other people thought of it, though.
@Bushranger I'm okay if something doesn't follow the books. But in that case I want it to be just as good or better than the books. Not worse. Lol

@canusernamebemyusername The problem is, though, if you are familiar with the books, it's very hard to watch something that doesn't follow them. It makes it difficult to decide if a series is as good as, better or worse than the books.
The same things happened with The Man In The High Castle, Brave New World and The Watch. Perhaps people not familiar with the original stories thought those series were good. Being familiar with them, the series just seemed to be a poor interpretation.

@SStarfish Supposed to be based on Isaac Asimov's novels. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foundation_series sums it up pretty well.
