The Davies days are coming back!

Maybe Doctor Who will be a great show again! 馃榾

If you can't read that, it says "Russell T Davies is set to return as showrunner in 2023, partnering with Bad Wolf Productions. Davies is to take over to celebrate the 60th anniversary and "series beyond"."

Starting in 2023? I thought that Chris Chibnall and Jodie were leaving after this series. Does that mean that there will be no Doctor Who in 2022?

@Bri89 There's still going to be more Doctor Who next year but there's only going to be 3 specials throughout the year and The Doctor will regenerate at the end. It's like what they did when 10 regenerated. It sucks that we have to wait that long but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

@Redstar you鈥檙e right, she is a great actress bit after watching her he first several of her episodes I quickly lost interred, there is nothing there makes her impression of Dr Who

The show is so politically correct now I can鈥檛 watch it

@DownTheStreet Yeah, PCness is fine by me but it's a bit too in your face at times, even to the point of almost forgetting it's a science-fiction show. But for me it's mostly that the writing is so consistently bad (at least Moffat only had bad writing some of the time) and the characters are pretty weak.
The Doctor is The Doctor at her core (although she's lacking a darker side but it's implied to still exist, so maybe it'll come out later) and that's kind of it, she doesn't have anything that makes her stand out amongst the others or have any memorable moments. The companions are boring and there's supposed to be some sort of family dynamic but it never truly feels like it.
I liked the episode Resolution, though. It suffers from the same quality of writing but I still think it was a pretty good episode that I didn't mind watching twice.
