I don't wear a mask unless an individual business requests that I do if I want to enter their establishment. I then choose to either comply, or take my business elsewhere. Generally I cross them off my list of places I'll do business with.

I must confess however, I get a kick out of seeing people walking down the road, no one nearby, and they're wearing a mask. Or to see them driving along in their vehicle all masked up. Might as well wear a tin foil cone on their head too.

@carpediem I am horrified at seeing people mowing their lawns with face masks on, yes...driving all by themselves with face masks on.... and so much more!

@SW-User As an allergy sufferer, I can see the lawn moving to keep out grass pollens and other dust. But keep out a virus? LOL. Lemmings

@SW-User I have to plead guilty to the driving with my mask on...mostly due to forgetfulnees...🤣. I would keep the mask on to get out to my car, because my building management required it for a time, and get in my car and completely forget. I would be about a mile down the road before I remembered...🤣

@carpediem I understand. I just never saw anyone wearing a mask for those reasons before the whole covid thing. Just wrong now.

@SW-User LOL... that's because most people would rather sneeze than look like a complete idiot with the stupid mask. As for me, to get my grass cut I adapted and use a telephone.

@4meAndyou Understood. I realize we're not all the same.
I only know that masks seem to make people FEEL safe. Many times, people forget it isn't meant to protect them but mostly others... Too many people wearing masks all by themselves in many different situations.

@carpediem Here, it is not up to the individual businesses, but government health regulations.

@chrisCA Same here. In Massachusetts, for over a year, masks were required. Now we only need to wear them for medical appointments.

@4meAndyou I am in Ontario, Canada, and it is still required here. Hopefully it will change here.

@chrisCA I hope so, for your sake. We had to hit a number level, of deaths and new cases, that the state government felt was safe.
