On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you rely on the news?

Probably a five. But my news comes from different sources. I receive email from online websites, email from friends with stories from their news apps, and of course if a major news story arrives, I like to research several different sources.

If the news did not exist, I would know nothing of current events.
