I think Star Wars for me, although I did have the privilege of seeing all three Lord of the Rings films in theaters when they came out.

I've read the Rings books several times but the movies sucked. And the first Star Wars movie was okay, the rest sucked. I haven't been to a movie theatre since I saw the first Rings movie about 20 years ago. Too expensive, too loud, and too stupid.

@hunkalove I feel like the Lord of the Rings films are just too long for some. Not everyone wants to sit through a 4 hour movie.

@Rose0415 And too violent. Though they did look like I imagine Middle Earth. The Hobbit is one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

@hunkalove The Hobbit was very disappointing. I don't think I even bothered seeing the direct sequels to those.

@Rose0415 I recommend the Cartoon movie version of the hobbit. It is much better.
