Oh yes! The book "Where the Red Fern Grows" by Wilson Rawls.
It is a 1961 children's novel about a boy who buys and trains two Redbone Coonhound hunting dogs. Despite my best attempts, I have tears streaming down my face every time, especially when I read the ending! 😭
