Do you watch soap operas?

@bijouxbroussard I actually used to watch the Latin/Spanish telenovelas back when I was a kid. It's been years, though.

@bijouxbroussard I laughed when I discovered Mum watched "The Bold and the Beautiful." Turns out one of her younger work collegues loved it and had it on in the lunchroom every day so much so that Mum became addicted. 🤭

@SubstantialKick Did you learn Spanish along the way ? That helped my sister stay fluent.

@bijouxbroussard I did learn some, along with Spanish class in high school. Unfortunately I forgot most it after about 6 years, though 😂.

@Zoranna I don’t know if I ever told you, my mother loved “The Young And The Restless”, even though she would record it and watch it in the evening. During a reunion with classmates in New York, she discovered that the cast was having a meet and greet in NYC so she and her friends went to see them. She actually took a photo with actor Eric Braeden and sent it home to Pop, written on the back:
“Having a great time; ran off with Victor Newman. See you when we get back.”

Fortunately, Pop also has a sense of humor; he read it and deadpanned, “Oh, dear, your mother’s gone away with this Victor Newman fellow ! But it won’t last.” 🤣
