Curt Connors- The Lizard. They did a storyline on how becoming the Lizard affected his wife and kid, and later the cost to him when he had his wife and kid undergo the same treatment.
They had this whole story of his guilt and depression ,finally his accepting that his actions were done to protect his family and that hiding himself away from them was not the way to go.
One of the best Marvel issues in the last decade.
