I read she wanted to join John Brown at Harpers Ferry, but she was sick.

@LadyGrace She must have been. Knowing if she was captured it mean certain death. Probably a slow and painful one.

@ProfessorPlum77 Yes, I'm sure. She was fearless and changed so many lives. I rented her story (the movie) from the library.
