I wonder why actors do it, then they don't want to be recognized in public?

It seems a very conflicted thing to do.

Not at all. Sharing the gift of a good performance is their profession, and they have the right to a personal life the rest of the time.

@bijouxbroussard I understand the part about performance but they cannot be so green as to think that their whole lives will be of interest to tabloids and magazines etc and many utilize this deliberately.
@CathyUK Knowing it and [b]liking[/b] it are two different things.A lot of performers give interviews and even “meet & greets” to attempt to satisfy the curiosity of their fans, on their own terms.

@bijouxbroussard I know and charge for autographs. They want to be the center of attention and turn it off and on to suit but the world is not like that.
@CathyUK I just noticed I’ve replied to this before. Successful celebrities often have the means to make their world exactly like that. At least in terms of aggressive fans.
