Recommend something to binge watch?

I'm watching, Justified Season 1 right now. 2010
6 Seasons, 78 Episodes
Deputy Raylan Givens is a renegade Law Enforcement Marshall, Wild West-style methods of upholding justice, putting him at odds with the criminals he hunts and with his bosses in the U.S. Marshals Service.
I have only watched 2 episodes thus far, certainly watchable

I've been binch watching Anime lately... not sure if that is something for you?

Things that I recommend that flew under the radar over here is Hell on Wheels (specially the nature shots, I mean... wow)

@Kwek00 I will have a look for it thank you.
Not into Anime, though to be honest, I have never watched any Anime.
So how would I know if I were into it or no?

@Gusman

Well you either like cartoons and can identify and get lost in animation. Or you can't. Some people have a natural reflex to not enjoy animation at all, other can just enjoy 10 minute clips (like looney toons, Tom & Jerry, Disney small stuf). If you can watch longer animation, well then you can talk about what sort of things that attract you: horror, triller, adventure, romance, ... etc. And then you can try something out?

But there are people (tastes and colors and stuff) that just are not into animation and don't watch it.

@Kwek00 I did thoroughly enjoy TAZ

@Gusman Well, I I'm also someone that likes Looney Tunes over Disney... I like Tazmanian Devil too. Also: Roadrunner (Willy E. Coyote), Pépé le Pew, Foghorn Leghorn, Speedy Gonzales and Tweety & Sylvester.

But I'm more talking about a series (25 minute episodes) that span over a couple of seasons. Where you have a character build up and an entire storyline going for it (not like Scooby Doo or Pokémon) which is largely the same idea over and over again.

I recently watched:

Code Geass: which I believed was good, specially season 1 (political triller)
Gantz: which I consider absolute bullcrap (horror/SF)
Claymore: Which I consider to be good
Samurai Champloo: Which I enjoyed immensly, great music too (historical samurai drama)
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood: Really great stuff (political fantasy but still made for 16+)
Berserk (1997): I Absolutely loved it (Dark Fantasy Horror) 😍
Tokyo Ghoul: It was okay for, but not wow (Horror)
Parasyte: The Maxim: Was actually pretty good (Horror)
Cowboy Bebop: Which just stays great... great music too. (Space Cowboys)

And I'm reading "Neon Genesis Evangelion" right now... I saw the series years ago. And I'm going to rewatch it after I finished the books for the first time. That thing just blows me way.

But it all depends on what you like to watch, and if it's okay to be a fairly children series or something more adult.

Just for the music:

But if you like dark fantasy... you should really try to watch the Berserk series from 1997. Next to the blood and violence and gore... there is just something really deep going on there.

@Kwek00 Thanks for such a comprehensive post.
Maybe I will check out one of them and see what I think about it.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Gusman What type of series/movies do you like? What genre?
Gusman · 61-69, M
@Kwek00 I loved The Wire.
I think that was the best Series Ever made, ever.
I like period pieces. The Tudors, The Borgias, the Original Upstairs Downstairs.
Medical Dramas.Code black, Miami Medical
Foreign Dramas.The Bridge, Angelby, Wallander
Anything Supernatural, Sci Fi
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Gusman Yeah, not the first time people name "the wire". Never seen that one.

Saw "vikings" yet? I loved the first 3 seasons, but stopped watching it afterwards. I should try and pick it up again at some point.

I know the animation is fairly crappy, but "Berserk" (1997, DON't watch the other crap) is really good story telling.
Gusman · 61-69, M
@Kwek00 Vikings wasn't for me.
The Wire is so good because it was written by a retired Police reporter who worked in Baltimore. True to life, brilliant. Try and track it down. Library? Though maybe not in European countries?
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Gusman I'll probably find it somewhere. Just like "breaking bad" which I also never saw. I did see the sopranos. I'm still more of a movie person that a series person tough.

At the moment I'm engulfed in Anime/Manga for a bit. Just something for else for a change. I just get into something and then do something else over time. Just downloaded a lot of anime series that I also wanted to watch over time. And finally started reading Neon Genesis Evangelion, which is a bit of a deep rabbithole to plunge into (again).
