Boring? Idk about the comics, but I found the movie character not at all boring...and certainly better than the failed hulk backstory movies.

But the charisma? I am not sure which movie you saw, but I found Brie Larson to be very enchanting, with a very natural, easy way of playing the character, with humor which was delivered well and not forced/stupid (à la the [i]Thor: Ragnarok[/i] movie, where it was out of character with Thor and forced, juvenile).

Brie Larson is the Marvel answer to Gal Gadot, and it is a resoundingly good casting choice.
