I thought the movie as a whole was a bit over-hyped. But damn the production that went into recreating that Live Aid performance was all the hype it really needed. I love how the Blu-ray showed the entire performance.

It was a very high quality movie. Especially the live aid scene. I watched a video was comparing the film and the reality. It was almost the same. Also the freddies solo singing scenes. I'm not sure if it's Rami Malek's own voice but very similar to freddies. Respect ✌️

@ilovepoo the cast snd filmmakers really wanted to get that right down to the smallest detail. They actually shot that sequence first to set the tone for the rest of the movie.

They used Freddie's recording through most of the Live Aid scenes, and a sound alike and Rami Malek's own voice but it was mostly Freddie.

My other half absolutely loved it, watched it, called me down to watch a 'funny part' and after I left I found out she'd watched it again! I only wanted to see Eric Hall in it but I'm not sure he even appeared!

I agree. I didn't even mind that they mimed to the songs. It showed enough of the spirit even if some of the facts were changed to make !a better film"
It was too fake. Like they got almost none of the story right. Like I doubt I'd bother watching it for a second time

@Qwerty14 Lol and that's saying something 😝

I liked it but heard it had many differences with the real biography.

@SW-User it helps to know what the real story is before you go in to it😊

Never saw it

Disappointed, except for the Live Aid segment at the end. I hated how the timeline was manipulated, and for some reason, no movie ever even tries to get the band experience or dynamics correct. It's as if they're afraid to try.

too gay, but other than that it was good

@MartinTheFirst couldve been a whole lot gayer had sacha baron cohen played Freddie and they did the movie the way he wanted to, this is definitely the toned down version of Freddie's life.
