@SW-User hyperspace is far better than warp technology for sure... imperial fleets could hyperspace into a planatory system before federation ships could arrive. But once engaged, federation ships would tear new assholes into the empire ships

@Deadcutie oh no doubt about hyperspace, they traverse thousands of light-years distance way, way faster than the federation, absolutely. Transporters, replicators and phasers etc they're way more advanced than the Empire. Laser based weaponry is awesome but as established in The Next Generation, laser based weaponry is ineffective against less power navigational deflectors, they'd be 100% completely useless against federation shields. So yeah they'd get their asses handed to them 😂

@SW-User well Star Wars tech isn’t really lazer based. The best theory is they are encapsulated plasma bolts. Many of the weapons systems as seen in official cross section drawings show them to be projectile based in many cases..

I believe the outcome would be the same though. Projectile objects even if concentrated plasma couldn’t hit federation ships hard and fast enough to sufficiently overpower defensive shields except on maybe smaller vessels. However ion cannons may disrupt some ships.
Meanwhile federation phasers can concentrate all its intensity in one spot.. phasers cut through a star destroyer like lightsabers cutting through a cake..

Photon torpedoes are basicaly up to 50 megaton nuclear Weapons.
Being that we see Xwings regularly take out a star destroyer, I don’t see a destroyer standing up to 1 torpedo..
