The 20's-then 40's. One most silent one all talkies.
Producers, Directors and studios were more creative in the 1920's when they improvised to make scenes work and flow seamlessly. As such many inventions, still used came from that time.
There was no music in this (which can be seen in full-FREE on YT) No music at all. This was a college assignment to a woman to create music FOR this scene-which is fantastic.
However if I were to show how it was done and what was used it would appear not as fantastic. Let's NOT go that route. Just enjoy Harold Lloyd doing the impossible.
