The 20's-then 40's. One most silent one all talkies.
Producers, Directors and studios were more creative in the 1920's when they improvised to make scenes work and flow seamlessly. As such many inventions, still used came from that time.
There was no music in this (which can be seen in full-FREE on YT) No music at all. This was a college assignment to a woman to create music FOR this scene-which is fantastic.
However if I were to show how it was done and what was used it would appear not as fantastic. Let's NOT go that route. Just enjoy Harold Lloyd doing the impossible.

@Elandra77 Not a fan of movies much before the 40s. Though some great movies were made in the 30s. It is interesting to see how they evolved in making movies.🙂
@JustLikeGreta Agreed. In and around Pittsburgh, PA used to be the Movie Capital. Before Hollywood. I remember seeing some of the old lots and buildings that used to be owned by Warner Bros and others. Eerily odd.

@Elandra77 How interesting.
This is impossible to answer for me.
I love everything Buster Keaton made in 1920's...the Master!
Love pre-code movies from early 1930's but all wouldn't be great movies.
Some excellent movies from mid 1930's-1940's
Also some classic movies from every decade going forward.

@JustLikeGreta Yes, I like him, too. I have discovered so many great actors from that era.
