What was your first rated R movie?

The Exorcist-
Am I the only one that thinks the Way the American censors rate movies is totally backwards? They are chill with graphic violence being PG13 but the moment you show a pair of nipples it's R or NC17. It's ridiculous. Whole lot of Violence, not a lot of sex. That's kind of like the bible. What's wrong with our society that we glorify violence but censor sex?

@BetweenKittensandRiots Wasn't Titanic PG-13 though? There was boob in that
@BetweenKittensandRiots Yes, it’s ludicrous. I once went with a friend and her 10 year old son to see an “action” movie. She wasn’t reacting at all while people were being gunned down right and left. But as soon as the hero kissed the heroine, her hands were over the boy’s eyes. He’s a grown man now, but I still give her a bad time about that. 😂
@bijouxbroussard i'd be more concerned about the children I never intend to have being exposed to graphic violence than sex. smh... I found plenty of porn when I was a kid. I respect women. You know I'm a feminist it's just... I have hormones.

The first movie I remember seeing with my parents was Easy Rider, but I don't think they had the same rating system then. My brother and I would play "Red Necks and Bikers" and shoot each other off of our bicycles for quite some time after that!
Same in my case, but the thing is that i saw Scary Movie 2 the parody first..and when watching the Exorcist i could not stop laughing..
I remember going to the movies on a double date to see the Exorist

@Itsmrsockmonkey you most be pretty old if you saw it in the theater. lol
@SW-User back home one theater showed lots of movies , most a lot older, they could get them cheap. Same theater once a month showed marathons, last late into the night

"Romeo and Juliet”.....which I believe was later changed to PG-13 (without needing to be edited).
