@DunningKruger I'm hoping it involves some of the other characters as well. I follow several of them on Twitter and haven't seen any indication. I know Michael Dorn is interested in bringing Word back, but I think most of them would reprise their roles. With imroved CGI effects, it could be quite entertaining.

Hopefully it's good - we shall see. I find it interesting that Discovery sort of betrayed some core tenants of the show (although I kinda like it) and the natural followup is naked fan service. But I mean, naked fan service can still be pretty great. Hype levels are moderate. I was never a crazed Trekkie to begin with.

@CountScrofula if the naked fan service is centered on Picard, it could be really interesting. His was themat evolved of the character imho of STNG, Data being a close second, but that ended with his demise, er, destruction.
