I'm usually the one bringing the snacks. $5 for candy is outrageous.

They haven’t done that here yet

No, but I'm not too strongly opposed. They're a business and they want to make money, and I get that. I'm still bringing in my own snacks, but in a smaller bag. (I don't need much anyway)

I am led to believe that they have no legal footing to prevent you from taking your own snacks in anyway.

I have taken in snacks in my baggy coat (not recently). I had some sliced apples and beef jerky for my kids. It is the prerogative of the theater about bags, I guess.
Theaters make their profits mainly from the snacks and drinks. That's why they have always been marked up so high. They don't profit much from showing the films. It costs a lot of money to operate a theater.

Doesn't bother me. The only snack I buy at the theaters is popcorn and a coke. So I'm good.

And you don't object to the 1300% markup?

@Pikachu no ma'am. I mean, it is ridiculous. But I want their popcorn. Lol

Problem is Hollywood is churning out rubbish and theatres are losing out on patrons not turning out in the numbers like they used to.
Everybody knows theatre prices for food and drinks are so hyped, they bring their own.

No I don't. I can wait for the Blu-ray and watch it in my lingerie and robe. As often as I want.
Shit no. They mark their products up to a degree unheard of outside big pharma. I consider it my right to smuggle food and drink in

I guess im gunna stuff some candy down my crotch from now on
