Did you know there was a Star Trek: The Animated Series?

Funny thing is, despite the 30 minute shows, and the limited animation, it had some great writers.

@MistyCee It really did. I do know there were a couple that were a bit out there even for Star Trek though.

@Scubaguy027 I was really into reading back then, and the book versions of the animated series was actually better, as I recall than a lot of the novelizations of the original series.

Kind of cool to think about that stuff. I'll bet Star Trek inspired some of the very first fan fiction.

@MistyCee I didn't know there were novelizations of the animated show. I may half to stop by half price books on the way home today and see if I can find one.

Yeah i bet star trek did inspire the first fan fiction.

@Scubaguy027 I think they were called Logs or something. Some of the "fan fiction" though, was great and there were a number of budding authors who first got published that way.
