Did anyone watch the Golden Globe Awards tonight...

...and manage to not vomit at how demeaning it was to men? I actually had to turn it off. Liberal nonsense. The women complain, but at the end of the day, who pays for a date? If you wanna be so equal, be equal. But don't complain if you only wanna be equal in some things.
I know I'm about to get torched for this, but it's how I feel...sorry...I know as a white male I'm not allowed to have my own opinions anymore.

Yes, you are allowed to have your opinions.

Part of the problem is that occasions like this cause people to stereotype each other and raise accusations that the opposing side IN ITS ENTIRETY holds the most extreme opinion on the male-female relations spectrum. Whereas most men and women probably come down somewhere in the middle and are still trying to figure it out themselves. There will never be any solution if all that's ever accomplished is making the other side wrong.

@LyricalOne Not only that, but I have a hard time feeling sorry for someone who makes tens of millions of dollars a year, even if they were harassed at one point. Sorry, but a real everyday woman who gets sexually harassed probably lost her job if she turned the guy down, she didn't go on to make millions. I truly feel bad for the regular people who have to go through this...I do NOT feel bad for Reese Witherspoon who is worth probably $100 million, and I definitely don't feel bad for Oprah, probably the richest woman inthe world.

@smmartydude I doubt they’re asking for anyone’s pity. They’re using their voices to bring attention to the issue so that maybe in the future, those “real, everyday women” you mentioned won’t lose their jobs and suffer other hardships related to the experience. If I had been through something like that, I would certainly welcome powerful people speaking out.

@LyricalOne I agree with everything you said, except the pity. I think they do want people's pity...just like the complain they don't make as much as male actors and they want people to care about that. I can't pity them.

@smmartydude The point is focusing on the issues that matter in order to make the lives of real people better. Getting sidetracked with who to pity or not pity does nothing to advance that cause. It’s not a political fight, it’s not a gender fight. It’s a HUMAN fight and we should all work together.
