I find it sad that they are planning on remaking old British sitcoms, do you agree?

Things like Are You Being Served and Dad's Army are being lined up. For one thing they were of their time and it is a very different world now and besides, the actors made those characters along with the writers. They cannot be recreated now. It is doomed to failure in my opinion.

i love are you being served. i can't imagine a remake . you are so right the actors make those roles. some of them could be replaced but some are absolutely irreplaceable.

Chronicle of Anna Magdalena Bach by Jean Marie Straub and Daniele Huillet (9/100)

This is the best Bach film, however the recording of the great performances were of its time. I wish more films by this duo would be available, Fassbinder starred in one of them!! I love the song sung after a bit of harpsichord here!!
