Can you think of a movie you didn't like at first, but grew to love?

Why do you think your opinion changed?

For me.. There Will Be Blood. First time, found it boring. The soundtrack, cinematography, storyline, all grew on me. The character Daniel Day Lewis portrays, ruthless, manipulative, exceedingly greedy, he was sort of symbolic of the zeitgeist, a culture that is still prevalent in the world, of doing anything for acquisition.

Also, the remake of The Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy. Fell asleep in the theater, but came to like it far more than the original.

And I've gotten to like Avatar more.

For me it was The Matrix. I didn't get into the movie watching it in the theater and felt the gunplay parts were so over the top and ridiculous but I've come to appreciate it more on repeat viewings.
