What's your favorite book to movie adaptation? Was it true to the original?

@SW-User Unfamiliar but I saw a movie starring Viggo Mortensen by that title. Post apocalypse type deal. Is that related?

@SW-User That was one where I thought the book was SO much more powerful. But I loved the cinematography in the movie and Mortensen was pitch perfect.

@SW-User Yes that was also a great adaptation.

@DanielChristensen Please read "the road" it is well worth it.

@SW-User The MOVIE was heartbreaking.
I am pretty sure I'd want to suicide if I tried to read the book.

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON It is very nice to see you too,my avatar is the isle of the dead,I have a clear vision of it,at the back beyond the trees is a beautiful harbour with a fountain and benches made of white marble,the fountain displays four dolphins water flowing from their mouths,the harbour is surrounded by tall trees and there is a temple at the side where souls come for their life review.

I had no time to really hunt it ; as I am on my way out to a concert with my father :)

@berangere The concert was transcendent actually
and I was STUNNED at the beautiful melodies emanating
from these may unusual flutes this musician had:
They were from China, from India, from Morocco, from The Native Americans in Argentina, etc. Also a Sufi flute.

It was a Chanukah concert which was straight from heaven bc I swear the angels made this music. I was soooooooooooo happy and sooooooooooooo at peace.

He also played a violin, a kind of balalaika but Turkish,
two flutes simultaneously, and this neat Persian string instrument called santour.
He can also play the piano.

I did not expect this magic.

WOW.

I wish I could live in that music forever.
It was so BEAUTIFUL 💓💔💞🙏✨
