@GlitterEater I first learned about some of the things Israel the country has done even to non-European Jews (especially Beta Israel Ethiopians) from conversations with U.S. Jewish liberals. I also saw the more conservative try to shame them for speaking out about it.
And another irony to me is seeing right-wing Holocaust deniers, in the next breath claiming they stand with Israel. I believe it’s because they see Israel as a white country, with the Palestinians as people of color.
