What does it mean in debate or argument that the other side keeps referring to what you're doing instead of relying of facts?

Pics isn't very polite and he has the unfortunate habit of using insults and assuming bad faith all the time in people who disagree with him.

However, his overall understanding of the situation in Gaza is not completely wrong or without merit, however badly he may argue it.

@flipper1966 I do. I'm not criticising you. I don't agree with your take on the issue but you are polite and honest.
@Burnley123 Thank you, sir. 👌
@Burnley123 As far as I'm concerned a person is entitled to his opinion. What irks me is the style of argmentation that some people have, such as personalizing or other bad faith responses.

@whowasthatmaskedman I've never seen this. Brilliant! Man. They were on fire. That was so tight and smart. And that camera work was killer. Thanks for this. Great stuff.
Damn, he's still alive? Dude blocked me a while ago.
If you're doing that in an argument, then...
@LordShadowfire People say that ad hominem attacks are a sign the person thinks he losing the argument. Do you agree?
@flipper1966 I do, yes. Because if I'm making a good point, I don't need to insult the person I'm debating. If the other person is making a good point, and I can't counter it, I might get angry and call the person names.
