I Am a Sociopath

Do you ever feel like a mirror in social situations? Simply reflecting all that people expect to see?
In that case, what do you define yourself by when you're by yourself? Your skills? Your achievements?

Of course that's true, but everything is a spectrum and not all are as good, or as aware about how much they're mirroring.
People automatically mirror others, of course. Unless they're too mentally impaired to do so.

People who lack certain emotions/empathy tend to be quite aware of mirroring these specific traits from others.
Here I was interested in the conscious mirroring of others more so than the unconscious.

@Flenflyys If you've worked in psych you should know that people aren't so simple you can judge them from a few lines of text. Haha. You should watch your words if you don't want to risk looking stupid, just a bit of advice.
But now I'm curious. What kind of person do I then seem like to you miss psych worker?

They have used this test in the field before, but I don't think that was ever 'official'. It mainly depends on the specific people whether they've found it practical or beneficial to use.

@Deceptive I love your bit of advice ;)

I dont think lance-briggs personity spectrum really is agreed upon anymore.

But of course we are all mirrors. We all self priject our own characterists onto others. Its what we know. Our brains are programmed to find patterns. So we see patterns we know everywhere.

More over, we also act in patterns in social settings. This is called habit forming. We create habbits on what to say based on our feedback and what gets the best response from people around us. So we all kinda were a mask.

@K10vvn But im like a ENTJ and then sometimes im tired and im so a INTJ and sometimes i do drugs and Im a EINTJJE, you know?
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
It has low credibility, so in my country at least, it hasn't been used. Professionals favour he MMPI, or any test with a shred of reliability.

You seem awfully offended because I said you aren't a sociopath? The biggest tell in your case: sociopaths don't know they are, or they don't care. Acknowledging that they are doesn't benefit them in any way. What is your diagnosis exactly?

Name calling weakens your argument, deceptive.

Hehe. I'm not at all offended. I wouldn't call myself a sociopath either, I simply wanted to provoke you for your reaction. Just like most others I'm on this website because of boredom. Thank you for being of some entertainment.

I have no argument, so I'll stick to the name calling, it's more fun that way.
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
Oh, I am definitely not a sociopath. I was just commenting. And I doubt you are either. I've worked in psych long enough to recognize certain traits. I've known one man who was definitely a sociopath. He would be a textbook example.
@k10vvn I wasn't aware that the test had ever been used professionally at all.

Idk what use it ever would have had proffessionally. Its more about self identification then digonosis.

But even as understanding ones self goes, the traits of lance-briggs are heavily disputed from what i understand.

I dont work in the psyche field though. Just an advid reader.

And you were complaining about my name calling? Haha. This is quite neat.
I haven't meant to hurt your feelings, but if you feel as such I'm not forcing you to stay, honestly.
I'm a simple human being. Easily amused, easily bored.

From what I've observed most people on the spectrum (or who simply relate to the sociopathic way of thinking) tend to be INTJ's. Except those who're extroverted, of course. But the T is quite extreme.
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
I didn't call you any names. All of done is responded to your comments. Merely suggested a solution to your extreme boredom. I'm getting bored with this now though so

Bye.
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
You must be extremely bored if you find any of this exciting, you can try making friends maybe.
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
That's all I ever do, but I'm an INTJ and hate socializing.
jgreen8916 · 31-35, M
Shame. Wanted to talk privately.
Deceptive · 26-30, F
I have a Nokia, take a guess.
jgreen8916 · 31-35, M
Do you have a kik?
Victor · 31-35, M
This was disappointing...
Sapio · 46-50, M
Yes I do, quite often.
