I Hate Sociopaths

Sociopaths Show No Mercy...
1 out of 25 people are sociopaths. Narcissism is part of this anti-social personality disorder. What is the chance you are seeing them here? We are not talking Charles Manson-you work with these people, interact everyday, possibly date or marry them…here is my experience, hoping it will help you.
Three and a half years ago, I lost my only daughter. It is the only time that life has brought me to my knees with a grief so overwhelming, I begged God to take me too. I tell you this, not to elicit sympathy ,but to show you how cruel people can be.
My best friend and his new mistress decided to seek revenge 3 weeks after I lost my daughter…he was mad I rejected him, she was mad over his feelings for me. Reasoning did not help. She told my boss that I threatened to hit her, hurt her and kill her to get me fired. Overkill, Yes!  But that is what saved my job.
I was in grief counselling at the time.  He said I was dealing with sociopaths that were not allowing me to grieve.  He said they would turn on one another eventually and that is what they did.  Blaming each other for the others actions.  Here are some of the warning signs he gave me. .
1. Look for the drama…there is ALWAYS drama around these people.  Look at what they write, talk about..blaming others for their misfortune and not taking any responsibility for their own actions.
2. They must be and will do anything to be the center of attention. They will attack anyone who tries to take this away from them
3. There is something not quite right with these people..you can’t put your finger on it ,but you know
4. They are highly intelligent, charming liars and manipulators
5. They usually have addictive personalities sometimes parasitic.   My friend had been married for many years but the lady had been in several failed marriages and was highly promiscuous. Drug and alcohol abuse can occur.
6. They can work in teams..one is the brain who puts the mouth up to do the dirty work.
7.. Only their opinion counts. There is only one way and it is their way.
8. People fear sociopaths. They don’t want to be on their radar. It is easier to go along with them than go against them.
9. They have no conscience.  They respond like they do, but it is faked.
How do you deal with them?
You can’t. They are not fixable. Your best strategy is to avoid, avoid, avoid. They will do everything to engage you in verbal battle. Since they have no conscience, counseling will not help.

Ihighly recommend the book "The Sociopath next Door".  This will help you recognize the symptoms before they ruin your life.
