Schizophrenia Update
So I spoke with the doctor today at the mental hospital. I told him about my concern with the voices in my head that I’ve been hearing for the past six months or so. My fear is that I inherited schizophrenia from my mom’s side of the family. Schizophrenia runs in my mom’s side of the family.
According to the doctor, he believes that the voices in my head are as a result of psychosis. Six months ago I got into a very violent car accident. I was badly injured in this accident and he thinks that trauma is causing psychosis in me.
So I’m relieved that I don’t seem to have schizophrenia. It was something I was very anxious and scared about being diagnosed with. But then again I do have psychosis; and something I have to conquer. I hope I can find some sort of normalcy again. Not that I’ve ever been normal.
