Be strong. You can rely on your non-NPD family members for a while, and even on healthy people and friends from outside your family, but ultimately you have to learn to rely only on yourself. You have to be independent and self-reliant, coz lots of time, even the healthy people won't be there when you need them, at those times, you have to rely on yourself. Trust yourself more and learn to stand on your ground. Don't be weak, be strong, dear.
I've been through all that and now the NPD person cannot trap me no matter how much they try. I always maintain a safe distance from them and have been able to leave the past, not completely, i do have my rough days, but i rely on myself and i know and trust myself.
All that you need from anyone else is within you. All you need is to trust yourself and your decisions.
