Genital mutilation of children, presumably you're talking about transgender stuff.

How many kids have had these surgeries? Where can you get one? What's the surgical procedure? Gimme some detail if this is a hard cold fact.

I claim this absolutely does not happen. Best I can find is top surgery in a few cases of teens over 15.

@Askeladd Before anyone is given genital surgery, they have to undergo extensive psychological testing, including dressing and living as the opposite gender for a while. If they start as teenagers, by the time they're ready for surgery, they're adults.

If you were truly opposed to the genital mutilation of children, you'd be demanding that circumcision, which is inflicted on two-thirds of boys in the US, be outlawed. Instead, you're terrified of trans people and feel better at the thought of oppressing them.

@SarahAndSamantha Your safety matters, but not more than anyone else’s. Why should women be made to feel uncomfortable on your account? Do their concerns and safety matter to you? And again, my issue isn’t really with toilets in most cases. It’s other spaces that I’m more concerned with.

yes, I worry about my safety first. That's true. We all do. It's not selfish, it's self preservation. you're not being honest, my safety doesn't matter to you, or if it does at all, which it doesn't, it doesn't matter as much as someone else's feelings of discomfort.

I don’t worry about my safety first. I worry about my family’s safety first. And how are going to tell me what I’m being honest about? If your safety didn’t matter to me I would definitely just tell you.

@Askeladd Complete disclosure, i hadn't heard about the racial slurs. If that's truly the cause for the attack, well, I still don't condone it, but it's would make it moot for this argument. That being said, seriously don't be obtuse. Don't pretend we don't get attacked.

In the heart of every transphobe, in the smile of every TERF. you're all clones of each other. Same phrases, same BS. 99 percent of the time, the exact same single joke.

It’s different because I’m putting others ahead of myself. I’m sure most people put their family above themselves and everyone else, but that’s pretty irrelevant here. I only brought that up because you said everyone puts themselves first. They don’t.

You want special treatment. You’re right about one thing, though. You don’t know me. I’ve told you exactly what I mean and haven’t been dishonest. I haven’t told any jokes or said that I have trans friends. If you generalize everyone like you are me, it will only ostracize you further.
