I Have Epilepsy

And to anyone else who has temporal lobe epilepsy, absence seizures. I was talking to my family about something I remembered as a child. Not a memory of a seizure or anything epilepsy, just some memories I had from my childhood. My mother said "Jeez, what age were you back then?, you have a great memory!". I then half joked and said "That's the beautiful side to epilepsy". To which my little brother and parents replied "What??, that has absolutely nothing to do with it!!".

But I mentioned the auras, the feelings of deja vu I tend to get prior to a seizure. And told them it really creates a deep de ja vu..Things become familar, objects around the room have similarities and it's almost as if you've been transported to a time you've already witnessed. Imagination begins to spark, deep sense of familiarity around you. And the aura opens your senses "Smell, sight, hearing" until the seizure closes it and you go into an absense. But it's a deep and prominent hint of de ja vu in an aura..and that connects you to the past!...It also enhances Imagination x
