I Have Epilepsy

I never really took epilepsy to be life-threatening or something that could potentially kill me. I thought that, because I haven’t had a seizure in 5 years and on medication, I’ll be fine.

But hearing about someone dying in their sleep after having a seizure, despite receiving treatment, it really makes me wonder. I may be fine for now, but who knows what can happen in the future.

Saying that, I’m not afraid of death. Never was. I know it’s inevitable. It’s going to come one way or another. I’ve accepted that.

But I’m only 23. I have so many things that I want to do and accomplish, before I do go. I want to travel, share my art, do some good in the world.

The way I look at these things is that you could worry about it and get blown up in a terrorist attack tomorrow, or get hit by a bus. Life is too short to worry about when we might die, until such time as someone tells us that it's imminent. Just live, every day. That way you'll not have wasted any time.

@SW-User Yeah I try not to dwell on it too much :)

@Henal Good. Health concerns can really feed anxiety which just makes everything worse.
