I Have Epilepsy

Well, the chip has been turned on. I was a bit nervous at first, but it was a very simple task by computer. And with a few tests to make sure it was working as expected, it was done. She turned it on to 1 mA to start. I will go back in about three months to check it's progress, and if needed, to turn it up a bit. Of course, I don't expect anything definitive, especially now that we're just getting started. But the technology is there and amazing.

Everyone keeps asking if I feel any different. No, I don't. Doctors say I shouldn't. The only feeling that continues is the tenderness of the head from the surgery, which has been expected.

I'm pleased for you. No more seizures has to me the best thing for you.
Will you be able to drive a car?

@Gusman I am hoping, someday. This is a slow start, I need to be patient, but inside, I'm anxious. lol Although the law here is to be seizure free for three months before driving, I'm going to wait at least a year, just to be safe. Until then, I have those who are happy to drive me anywhere at anytime.

@Gusman Yes, it's been an incredible trip as it is!! I am seeing a light at the end of a 40 year old tunnel. I have a good feeling about this. Thank you for your support. xo
