Life Sentence

Woke up straight into a panic attack.
I can’t run, can’t hit the gym — no way to escape my thoughts.
All I can do is rest, do tiny things that don’t keep me from sliding into that dark place.

He committed the crime and got early release.
I survived the crime and got a life sentence.
It won’t end until death finally comes… and it’s taking forever.
I’m just so damn defeated.
