Bingeable shows? / update

To those waiting on responses I’m sorry this is easier for now.

What was supposed to be a minor surgery with a simple two-week recovery—to remove one ovary because of a cancerous mass—turned into something I never saw coming.

Complications forced a second surgery. They had to take my uterus.

I don’t have the words. I feel hollow.

The pain is overwhelming. The meds they sent me home with don’t touch it. What they gave me in the hospital barely worked, and now I’m left to deal with this—alone, exhausted, and hurting. But still… I’m home. I guess that counts for something.

I’m trying to hold it together, but emotionally, I’m wrecked. Numb. I keep replaying everything, asking how this happened. How everything changed so fast. One moment I was preparing to heal, and the next… it feels like something was stolen from me.

I’ll be pretty useless for a while. A month, maybe more. If you know anything good to binge, send it my way. I’ll probably sleep through most of the next few days anyway.

Hospitals take everything out of you—and rest is the last thing you get there. I’m finally home, but it doesn’t feel like peace. Not yet.

I’m just so tired. So tired and so sad.

I’m sorry to hear about everything you’re going through. I know firsthand how discouraging recovery time can be. Distracting yourself is probably one of the best medicines, so to speak. I had congestive heart failure a few months back, and early on I was in and out of it. I binged a bunch of old Twilight Zone episodes, because the stories wrap up with each episode, which I figured was better than trying to watch something with a continuing storyline. I find it a bit frustrating to wake up after a few hours and then have to try to remember where the hell I was in the story before I zonked. Older shows tended to wrap up the story every week. If you’ve got Prime, there are quite a few older series streaming there. Again, I’m sorry to hear about your pain and wish you a sturdy, steady, and speedy recovery.
