I Battle Depression
Sometimes it's hard for people who don't suffer from depression to tell the difference between being sad and being depressed. I've tried to explain it to them over and over but I really think that unless you've felt that lead weight in your chest where your heart should be and that all encompassing tiredness that renders you useless at even the most basic of tasks, you cannot truly understand.
I'm sure other suffers know that feeling though ... It's like you're on the slope and you're trying so hard to hold on to the last threads for your sanity but you can feel yourself slipping! You are trying to fight the blackness that is settling on your heart causing the fog of unhappiness but your energy levels are just too low and the fight is just too hard and you sink deeper because all you want to do is curl up and sleep and if you're lucky never wake up.
I'm fighting that feeling with all that I have but today it feels like I'm losing the fight ...
