Whew 😄 I’m seriously wiped out after 45 minutes…

…of crying and I’m not even sure why or what brought it on ??
I mean I know it’s because I’m very sensitive and I’m very depressed atm but usually I just tear up and in a few minutes I’m ok. Not tonight though. I was literally bawling 😭. I think I needed this release because I don’t remember the last time I truly cried. And I think it is cathartic to just have a cry and move on. However tonight it took a lot longer to get through it. Anyway I hope tomorrow is a better day because I got this out of my system. Does anyone else experience this kind of thing? I mean I know it’s not uncommon but I turn 49 in less than a week and I also know that most of my friends don’t have this like I do…

I’ve had a rough couple of weeks like that, but I had a reason so I think it’s different.

I hope you can feel better soon šŸ¤

@MellyMel22 If you ever need someone to talk to about anything I would be more than honored to help.

Things build up and need to get released somehow. Hopefully this keeps working for you.

@GoldnJulz That is great, especially considering all you have been through.

Sleep is vital for healing though. And insomnia is a wretched thing.

@ineedadrink I have always been a very fussy sleeper. I have been a night owl since I was born. I have very intense anxiety about getting enough sleep to heal as well. I have to be disciplined and distracted in order to get my best sleep. The other foil in my sleep is the fact that my mind seems to work better in the middle of the night when distractions from outside sources are low or non existent. Last night was a bit more intense emotionally than I have experienced in a long time. I’m housesitting and I think being totally alone is what made me feel like I had all the necessary privacy to allow myself to release everything that I had bottled up. My anxiety didn’t seem to be present when I was upset but it sure seems to be present now that I need to get at least a few hours of sleep. I typically function on less than 4 hours of sleep and that often comes in the form of 4 hours out of 48-72 hours. I rarely get sleep in a 24 hour cycle. Fortunately I have not been experiencing the 96+ hours without sleep that was becoming frustratingly common for years. I don’t even know what I would feel like if I could get 6 hours of sleep out of a 24 hour day but I’m not going to waste my time and energy trying to achieve it with meditation and ritual meditation because it doesn’t seem to work for me. I’ve tried lots of different approaches to get better and more frequent sleep and it just hasn’t worked. I know that my pain level is just too high for me to expect a normal sleep cycle. And unfortunately I’m not able to sustain enough activity to wear myself out to get sleep without having my pain flare up and restrict me further. So it is what it is but I do have hope (and determination) for improvement.
