When you walk through the rain hold your head up high and don't be afraid of the dark

It is one of my miserable days
Got little sleep, woke up feeling under the weather.
Been sad most of the day.
I actually took a nap this afternoon out of exhaustion.
I rarely take naps as I usually cannot sleep in the daytime.
Outside it is gloomy,too,but the snow has stopped.
I don't want to engage much with the outside world today.
I wish I didn't feel so depressed, but I do and that is that.
I embrace my depression ,because years ago I found that it passes much quicker than trying to fight with it.
I will be better another day and today I can give myself permission.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether I agree. I listen to music to try and surrounding myself with brighter colors that help lift my mood. I enjoy reading great books anything that's optimistic.
I find that they ALL help to cheer me up.

I think we're all different and different things help different people.
I don't try to cheer myself up, sometimes I'll watch something funny, because it's hard to be sad and laugh at the same time.

Whatever works is okay for the person.
I have tried that in the past but it has a tendency make things worse for me.
I think I'm an odd one.
