Sometimes depression pushes you to the limit.

Sapping the motivation and will out of you. Im normally fairly active but have been sedate as of late so yesterday i forced myself out to walk. Just anywhere and although i didnt walk massively far i really did feel so much better after getting in and soaking in a nice hot bath with sea salt in it. I didnt use any shower gels. Shampoos. Just naturally cleansed my body soaking in the bath. That along with the walk really helped. Of course its not a permanent fix to any kind of depression but its normally only ourselves who can dig our way out of trouble. I wish anyone suffering all the very best.

That is an excellent way to fight depression. Yesterday I was feeling the same way until I finally forced myself to go out and ride the bike and shoot basket balls and right after I did feel better.

@Lostpoet Brilliant 👏. Even if its a short lived high then its definitely better than other short lived highs i used when younger. Exercise is key. From what you did to a short walk. Even just getting away from the situation that pulls you under is a bonus as long as its healthy

@Perry1968 The sad thing is that i'm not very young anymore, but still the stuff that wakes me up and pulls me out of the slippery swamp of depression is things I used to enjoy as a kid.

@Lostpoet I get you. Im 57 now and likwise i like the things i used to like when young before drug masking my life away. Fishing. Cycling. Walking. Nice views. Grounding. I havnt gone as far as to climb tress though or get a bmx 😆 That can stay in my childhood. I wish you well my friend. Keep pushing yourself when you are able to.
