over the last couple of days with deep depression. I don't have health insurance right now, so getting antidepressants is out of the question. Well, I quit sugar and all sweeteners 3 years ago, except for about 4 days a year when I allow myself cheat days.🙂
For some reason, I asked my Husband to go buy me sugar stuff yesterday, and voilà, no more depression. It is crazy. I mean, the depression was so deep I only saw darkness, and cried literally all day. 😔
I know sugar is sooooo bad for my health, but it has beaten my depression back somewhat. My daughter said, " We'll ride this dragon out of the darkness, and then quit sugar again," ( she gets depressed when I do), and that is what we are doing. 🙂
It turns out that sugar affects your brain in the same way cocaine does. We have ADHD, so that makes sense. 🤔
The idea of this is kinda like with some pain. It hurts your body, but it can make your brain feel good. Sugar hurts my body, but right now it is making my brain feel sooo good. 🙂
I'm glad I figured this out. Yesterday was pretty bad.😔

@peterlee I am sorry that you are diabetic, but I am sooo super proud of you for taking care of yourself. 🙂I have lost people to diabetes because they wouldn't do what they needed to do to take care of themselves. I am so glad you are taking care of yourself. 🙂
@peterleeWow, these are wonderful. Watercolor is not easy. My daughters paint with them too. 🙂 I especially like the one on the bottom. I like the emotions it makes me feel. It feels like hope with the darkness, but the sun in the back. Very nice. 🙂
