I’ve got depression.

Today is one of the troughs that we depressives get. It’ll pass, but it’s not nice.
Hearts out to all those out there who experience something similar. I wish there was a silver bullet answer, but in the meantime it’s a case of gritting our teeth and riding it out. 😔☹😢

While it sucks that you share the same sort of thing that I (and others) do, I am happy to see you have the ability to say "Oh hey, it's you." to depression.
It is a real big meanie head when it decides to come around. That continous tap on the shoulder, wanting you to do and think what it wants. It left after a fairly long visit a week ago for me, almost skewing my mind to the point of ruining a current relationship. Fortunately, I was able to ride it out, again.
Here's hoping it passes for you this round sooner than you think.

@minxy That’s a really nice reply - thank you for your thoughts. You’re right, it’s helpful to know when it’s hitting and to recognise the signs. People with depression can quite often make bad decisions during the low points, so I’m glad that you were able to ride the storm and not ruin a relationship because of it. All the best to you, and hoping you can carry on staying in control of it xxx

Believing the lies that depression tells the person, yeah.
Thanks, I hope the same for you.
