Miss prozac

I used to take Prozac for a month, when I was on it I felt incredible. I have Bipolar, OCD and ADHD and I wasn't on a mood stabilizer, just the antidepressant. I felt NO anxiety at all. I felt extreme confidence!! Nothing could bring me down. I made friends easily and was outgoing.

Now I'm off it and I feel everything. Severe, extreme anxiety. I hate this.

I know what you mean. Currently taking Prozac for depression and it’s really working - enabling me to see things in a positive light and helping me at work. I took them earlier in my symptoms this time as I could see what was happening with me. Took about 6 weeks of me taking them for me to see any affect on me. Been taking them for a few months now and doing ok

Why did they withdraw it ?

@Picklebobble2 I was actually manic on it :( but I just needed a mood stabilizer and I woulda been fine. Instead of adding one in, they just took me off and gave me a medication to help bipolar. Yet OCD is what bothers me the most :/ I loved Prozac, I've never been happier.

@Comatose Do you think 'manic but happy' was better ?

Why do you think that ?

Feelings are stronger than medicine don't waste waste your feelings muster the courage to and yet survive, you will wiser and mature. Pain is a medicine that heals the soul.
I don't even know what anxiety is...

You need to ask another doctor.
What is a mood stabilizer?

Hope it gets better for you

Why are you off it?

I have OCD and ADHD, my brother is bipolar.
I had a negative reaction to Prozac, but do well in Celexa, they give me that with Abilify to augment the antidepressant.
Why don't you specifically ask for mood stabilizers?

@CountScrofula I mean...it depends, my brother is on an SSRI with antipsychotic and hasn't had a manic or depressive episode in a decade.

@basilfawlty89 I think a good psychiatrist can thread the needle but a lot of times they're a very quick way to get a diagnosis lmao
