Depression and being lonely

melissa001 · 51-55, F
So true. And when you have anxiety too you are always fighting off one for the other. I take meds for anxiety and panic attacks which calms me down but I have to take uppers for my depression. It's a constant battle.
@melissa001 What would you think of the idea of, rather than battling, befriending your dragons? - Accepting your anxiety and depression into your life with gratitude and appreciation for providing you with the tools which allowed you to survive? Then, letting them know, that although they will never die, they have done their job expertly and honorably, and are now outmoded? Every time they show up in your life, you can remind them of this new frame of reference - this new state of being within you.

Too unrealistic? Too big of a leap? Try it for a while in bite-sized pieces. Take baby steps.

Your thoughts?

Who will never die? And when are " they"?
