I'm going to chime in with reading conversation below, your general sadness would be entirely understood on a human level, and often society forgets the endless bombardment of sad and bad news. If you are close to this situation, it would be entirely normal to feel a malaise and apathy, so try to be easy on yourself and focus on what you can change.

@IamBack I'm lucky where I was born. I'm in Canada. No one deserves what's going on there, and I'm tired of listening to its necessary. I know I'm privileged where I was born this way, but my heart pours out the only way I can know.
And in the end, you need to care for yourself and those you love. If you can do those things, you're a much better person for it, but I'm sure those who are close to you also understand you need to retreat within yourself, too. I hope that makes sense.

It’s a general mood of gloominess all over the place tbh but we still try to push through everyday life as usual, as much as possible 🤷🏻♂️
