Sometimes it is suggested to start the medication and help manage the symptoms and then that makes it easier to engage fully in the therapy

@WaryWitchWandering great explanation, that is exactly why meds can help, they kick start the process that talk therapy will maintain and meds for some people are not permanent just an aid

@Morrigan @WaryWitchWandering meds never helped. But I also didn’t stick with them for long. I hate swallowing pills

I had no luck with Celexa, but Lexapro was a huge help to me during really bad times

@WaryWitchWandering very true, i alwasy suggest if one med is not helpful too many side effects go back and ask for something else if you need to, there are many different types now.
